What we do

Air conditioning from cooling load to maintenance

Whether a single bedroom, an office floor or a server room: we calculate the cooling load, choose units and locations with an eye on noise and appearance and install the system with certified specialists.

  • 03.1

    Split and multi-split systems

One outdoor unit for one or more rooms, indoor units as wall, ceiling or floor console models – matched to room, furnishings and use.

    Home · Office
  • 03.2

    VRF systems

Variable refrigerant flow systems for larger buildings: many indoor units on one circuit, individually controllable, with simultaneous heating and cooling in different zones.

  • 03.3

    Server and technical rooms

Reliable cooling for IT and technical rooms in continuous operation, redundant on request and with fault alerts to your building management system.

    Redundancy · 24/7 operation
  • 03.4

    Cooling load calculation

Room-by-room calculation from solar gain, occupants, equipment and lighting – so the system is neither too small nor unnecessarily large.

FAQ

Air conditioning FAQ

F.01

Do I need a permit for the outdoor unit?

In many cases, no building permit is needed for split air conditioners on a family home. However, the state building code, local by-laws, boundary distances and the noise limits of the TA Lärm towards the neighbours must be observed.

In owner-occupied flats, mounting a unit on the facade usually requires the consent of the owners' association. We clarify the requirements before planning.

F.02

How loud is an outdoor unit?

That depends on the unit, its output and above all on where it is installed. Modern outdoor units are quiet at part load, but walls and corners can amplify the sound. We choose the unit and location so that the noise limits at the neighbouring property are met.

F.03

How often does an air conditioner need servicing?

We recommend annual maintenance with cleaning of filters and heat exchangers and a function test. Depending on the refrigerant charge, the F-gas Regulation also requires regular leak checks, which we document.

F.04

Can an air conditioner also heat?

Yes. Split and VRF systems work as air-to-air heat pumps and can heat efficiently, especially in spring and autumn. They are only suitable as the sole heating for a whole house in certain cases – we check this during planning.

F.05

Which refrigerant is used?

Split units today mostly use R32, and new systems increasingly use natural refrigerants such as R290 (propane). The F-gas Regulation is gradually restricting refrigerants with a high global warming potential. We advise you on which refrigerant is future-proof for your system.
